Simple dessert with 3 ingredients This might just be the simplest dessert you'll ever make. No kidding. If you can boil water, you can do this. Try it: Here are the three ingredients -- 4 cups of milk (can use low fat), 1/2 cup of sugar (preferably powdered) and 1/2 cup of mango pulp (available from most Asian grocery stores). Pour the milk into a nonstick pan with one cardamom pod (optional), bring to a boil and simmer on low-medium heat, stirring constantly until the milk thickens to 1/3 to 1/2 of it's original volume. Mix in the sugar at this point until it dissolves completely. Cool down the mixture and stir in the mango pulp. Transfer to a bowl and into the freezer to set. Serve two big scoops in a clear bowl, optionally garnished with slivered almonds and pistachios. Enjoy! |
