Welcome to a worn-in kitchen.
Welcome home.

Thanks for your interest in my book! I flirted with the idea of writing a cookbook after spending countless hours in the bookstore and not finding what I needed. Several years ago, I was new to cooking and needed a book that was more than just a recipe list. I was looking for help inside and outside the kitchen. I wanted to know how to set up a basic functional kitchen: Should I get a wok or a skillet? Do I need a saucepan? How many knives do I really need? Also, how do I shop for groceries without overspending on items that only perish too soon? Is there a simple approach for cooking most dishes from which I can improvise and create recipes of my own? And most importantly, can I get this ALL in a book that is written in a simple, conversational style at 120 pages or less?

When I could not find such a book in the market, I decided that I must write one! So I combined my love for food, cooking and writing and the result was my first book: Everyday Cooking for Beginners. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have writing it!
